Or L'Simcha ("From Light to Joy") is an unaffiliated, traditional and egalitarian congregation based in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood. We welcome you to join us Shabbat mornings at our home in the Or L'Simcha Sanctuary at the Tree (corner of Wilkins and Shady in Sq. Hill) starting at 9:45 a.m.; our services include specialized programming for toddlers through pre teens beginning at 10:30 a.m.

We also offer frequent and spirited family events and classes. Information about Shabbat Programming and other Upcoming Events are available online. We also have a Photo Album that features some of our previous activities.

Creating a special experience for children and parents alike. Under the nurturing direction of Rabbi Chuck and Director of Education Shelly Schapiro our new TLC encourages and fosters a love for Jewish values and study. We offer programming for Kindergarten thru 7th grade.

OR L'SIMCHA IS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL!

Congregation Or L'Simcha moves in with Tree of Life. In a unique and forwarding thinking arrangement our new home will be located at the corner of Shady and Wilkins Avenues in Squirrel Hill. We will be sharing space with our good friends at Tree of Life Congregation. Our new (bigger)sanctuary will be located in the Tree of Life Sisterhood Ballroom. Rabbi Chuck has a beautiful office suite on the second floor adjacent to the library. We will be sharing this beautiful congregation which will allow us to expand our programming in so many wonderful ways!

THE CHILDREN'S TORAH PROJECT

There are many ways to get involved in our Children's Torah Project. All proceeds from the Children's Torah project will be used to enhance the Jewish experience of our young people!
