Mission Statement Mission Statement

"Light was the first of God's creation.  As light appeared it brought with it the potential for wondrous things to follow.  Or L'Simcha, from light to joy."

To build a congregation in which its members diverse spiritual, religious, educational, and social needs are met in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.  We encourage a participatory and inclusive process both in congregational governance and in rituals.

Or L'Simcha is an unaffiliated, traditional, egalitarian congregation.  While our personal philosophies may vary among us, we are united in a common commitment to Judaism and to furthering our spiritual growth.

Or L'Simcha's priority is to provide an environment that encourages our children to love Judaism and Torah.  Educational programming and activities will include the child and their families encouraging study and celebrating their Judaism.  Services will be participatory, educational, joyous and spiritual.  As a congregation we support Klal Yisroel, the Jewish people, Israel and all good causes.
